Osun Accord Party Chairman, Akande Promises Further Development, as August Guber Poll Draws Nearer


The Chairman of the Accord Party in Osun State, Pst. Victor Akande has expressed the readiness of the people of the state to re-elect Governor Ademola Adeleke for another term in office in the August 15th governorship election,citing the administration's performance and commitment to the welfare of residents of the state.

Akande,who spoke while featuring as guest on "Guest Platform",an engagement programme of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Osun State Council in Osogbo, disclosed that Governor Ademola Adeleke has performed creditably well since assuming office and has continued to implement programmes and policies that positively impacted on lives of the people of the state.

Akande noted that the governor's achievements have earned him the massive support of residents across the state.

The Accord Party Chairman stated that the party is fully behind the Governor and believes he deserves a second term in office in order to consolidate on the gains recorded by his administration.

Speaking on what Osun residents should expect when the governor is re-elected, Akande disclosed that the administration will further place greater emphasis on youth development and industrialisation, adding that focus would also be placed on creating more job opportunities for young people by attracting investments and industries to the state, thereby expanding economic potentials that would generate employment and improve living standards.

He further described the governor as a committed leader,who has consistently worked for the progress of the state, and remained dedicated to the welfare of the people.

Akande reiterated the resolve of Accord Party to work for the development of the state and pledged the party's continued support for initiatives aimed at improving lives of the residents.

He expressed confidence that Governor Ademola Adeleke would secure another term in office, while insisting that the people of the state are prepared to reward what he described as effective governance with renewed electoral support.
