2026 Democracy Day: Mother of Democracy is Dying -- Fasogbon

As the Country is celebrating 2026 Democracy Day on Friday, the third Republic National Assembly members who are from Osun State once again appealed to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to honour their long awaiting request. This appeal was made in a Press Statement issued and made available to newsmen by the Convener of the Group, Rt.Hon. Hajj 2026: 978 Osun Pilgrims Begins Journey Home, as First Jeddah-Lagos Flight Takes off Saturday

By Alabi Olawale (From Makkah) Following the successful completion of this years Hajj rituals in Makkah and Madinah, the first batch of the pilgrims is due back to Nigeria today. The Board's Administrative Secretary of Osun State Pilgrims Welfare Board,, Mr. Muritala Fakunle disclosed this in a statement on Saturday,  According to him, a total of 978 pilgrims will be airborne back to Lagos in the next five days on a three scheduled return flights. He explained that  the first return flight, operated by Flynas Air with registration number XY-9488, is expected to arrive at the Hajj Transit Wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, from Jeddah on Sunday morning. He emphasized that the return operation would be conducted in two phases, with pilgrims in each phase travelling from Makkah to Jeddah before boarding their respective flights back to Lagos in line with a scheduled timetable.
