Osun LGSC Relives Sweet Memories of Pioneering State Executive Governor, as it Celebrates the Birthday of Hon. Tunji Adeleke (Jnr)
The last Tuesday in the month of April 2026 was another red letter day in the history of Osun State Local Government Service Commission (LGSC), as the entire staff converged on the office of the Agency Chairman, Hon Adetunji Adeleke (Jnr) who was privileged to be born over three decades ago while his father, Asiwaju Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke held sway as the first Executive Governor of the State.
The gathering, which was, ostensibly, a melange of jokes, banters, encomiums, prayers and goodwill messages was technically, a celebration of destiny values in the late "Serubawon", which were evidently manifest in the son.
In his reflection, the Agency Commissioner 1, Hon Jimoh Adetoro, observed that, " just like his departed dad, Hon Tunji Adeleke is a gentle, unassuming and a team player personality, whose door is always wide open for unfettered relationships."
The second Commissioner in the LGSC, Hon Adesina Alaran encouraged Hon Tunji Adeleke not to deviate from his late father's impactful legacies of loving kindness, goodwill, team spirit and camaraderie, which endeared him to all and sundry.
In his striking remarks at the occasion, the Permanent Secretary in the Commission, Mr. Mudashiru Oyedeji, described the celebrant as a leader who knows his onions and is truly passionate about the success of the Commission," as reflected in his manifest virtues of selflessness, open door policy and true love for the welfare of staff" which he attributed to his root, emphasising that , "if the head is good, the entire body will be equally good."
The Permanent Secretary, who further confessed that he envied Adeleke's good natured family, counselled Hon Tunji Adeleke to continue in the way and manner he does things asserting, " I'm highly envious of your family's enduring legacies"
In his terse response, Hon. Tunji Adeleke expressed, " I'm happy there is no division in the house, despite the prevailing logjam in council areas orchestrated by the prevailing Federal Government withheld monthly allocation. I enjoy communication with you all. We would celebrate better next year. Our suffering will soon be over. Let's cultivate the habit of prayer, not just for the forthcoming gubernatorial election, but for our life assignments", the man of the moment concluded."
The highlight of the low-key get-together was the joint celebration of the Chairman's Personal Aide, Mr David Toluhi, who shares the same birth day and month with him.
