Sen. Oyewumi visits Orile-Owu palace, promises infrastructure development

The Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Senator Lere Oyewumi, has reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development with a visit to the ancient town of Orile-Owu, where he pledged to facilitate key infrastructural projects for the community.
During his visit to the palace of the Olowu of Orile-Owu, His Royal Majesty Oba Daud A.A. Akinfalabi, Senator Oyewumi assured residents of his continued dedication to improving their standard of living through the provision of essential infrastructure.
Addressing community leaders and residents, the Senator urged the people of Orile-Owu to sustain their support for Ademola Adeleke, noting that the Governor’s administration has demonstrated genuine commitment to development and good governance across the state.
He emphasized that continuity in leadership would ensure that the ongoing developmental strides in Osun State are not only sustained but expanded for the benefit of all communities.
In his response, Oba Akinfalabi commended Governor Adeleke for what he described as a remarkable and impactful performance in office. The monarch noted that the Governor’s achievements have restored progress and development that had been lacking in previous years.
The Olowu further praised Senator Oyewumi, describing him as a true ambassador of the masses whose representation has positively impacted the lives of his constituents. He assured the Senator of the unwavering support of the people of Orile-Owu, affirming their readiness to continue backing his leadership.
However, the Royal Father urged Senator Lere Oyewumi to assist Owu community to reconstruct Obalufon to Oju-Oja road, provide 500kva transformer as well as Solar Powered street lights along the main road of Owu town.
The visit underscores Senator Oyewumi’s ongoing engagement with traditional institutions and grassroots communities as part of efforts to drive inclusive development and strengthen ties with the people.
