Osun Health Ministry mourns passing of PA Daniel Laosebikan

The Osun State Ministry of Health expresses deep sorrow over the passing of Pa Daniel Aremu Laosebikan, a distinguished medical icon, renowned surgeon, and the first Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Osun State chapter.

In a condolence message signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Isiaka Adekunle, describes his demise as a great loss not only to the medical community in Osun State but to the entire healthcare system in Nigeria. 

"Pa Laosebikan was a man of immense wisdom, dedication, and compassion, whose contributions to the growth and development of the health sector remain indelible.

"As the founder and Chief Medical Director of Onward Specialist Hospital, Osogbo, he demonstrated exemplary leadership and commitment to quality healthcare delivery. His role as a mentor, teacher, and pillar of support to many generations of medical practitioners will continue to inspire excellence and service.

"The Ministry acknowledges his invaluable contributions to the advancement of medical practice and his unwavering support for professional unity and development within the NMA and beyond. His legacy of service, integrity, and humanity will not be forgotten.

"While his passing has created a vacuum that will be difficult to fill, the Ministry takes solace in the impactful life he lived and the enduring mark he left on the medical profession".

The Osun State Ministry of Health extends its heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, the NMA Osun State chapter, and the entire medical community. It prays that Almighty God grants his soul eternal rest and gives all those he left behind the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
