The Osun State Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs, Hon. Gani Olaoluwa Asejere, has described the late Prince James Adedokun as a resilient and hardworking officer who remained fully committed to his duties throughout his years of service.
He made the remark during the burial service held in Iwo, where family members, colleagues, friends, and well-wishers gathered to bid farewell to Prince Adedokun, a dedicated public servant and community development advocate who passed away on Wednesday night, March 11, 2026.

Delivering the funeral sermon titled “Before You Sleep,” Rev. Dr. M. Oye Abioye, who preached from John 1:4, Revelation 21:8, and Revelation 2:11, reminded the congregation that the earth is not a permanent home, urging everyone to live according to the will of God and serve their generation faithfully. He noted that those who serve God diligently do not die but sleep in the Lord, describing Prince Adedokun as a good man who lived a purposeful life and served humanity devotedly.
