Badmus Urges Muslims to Sustain Ramadan Virtues, Embrace Charity, Faith Beyond Fasting
As Muslims all over the world celebrate Id-el-Fitri after the end of the Ramadan fast, the Executive Director (Marine and Operations), Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) & Global President, LAUTECH Alumni Association, Engr. Olalekan Abdul-Rahaman Badmus, FNSE, has called on every Muslims to ensure that the discipline they built during the fasting period does not depart with it.
According to Engr Badmus in his special Id-el-Fitri message made available to newsmen, entire Muslims should let the spirit of charity, purity of heart and the unwavering faith they exhibited remain their guiding lights throughout the year.
Engr Badmus who called on Muslim faithful to extend their service to Almighty Allah and humanity beyond the Ramadan period felicitates with them on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, describing the holy month as a period of spiritual renewal and moral rebirth for believers.
He said, "As the crescent moon signals the end of this glorious month, my heart is filled with gratitude to Almighty Allah (SWT) for granting us the strength and health to complete the Ramadan fast.
"Ramadan is more than a month of abstinence; it is a rigorous school of the soul. Over the past thirty days, we have cultivated the virtues of Sabr (patience), Taqwa (God-consciousness) and Ihsan (excellence in all things). Whether in our professional practices, our roles within communities, or our personal lives and beyond, these lessons are the blueprints for a better society.
"As we bid farewell to this blessed month, Let the spirit of charity, purity of heart and the unwavering faith we exhibited remain our guiding lights throughout the year.
"May Allah (SWT) accept our Ibadah, forgive our shortcomings, and purify our intentions. May He grant us the grace to witness many more Ramadans in sound health and prosperity.
"As we transition into the festivities of Eid and especially full-scale electioneering mood in our dear state, let us remember to extend a hand of fellowship to the less privileged and pray for the peace and progress of our dear nation.
"Even as we celebrate, let our focus remain steadfast as we strive for victory for our dear party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the upcoming Osun 2026 gubernatorial polls.
"Eid Mubarak to you and your families. May the blessings of the season continue to be with us and our household. Taqqabalallahu Minna wa Minkum", Engr Badmus concluded
