Swift Govt Intervention Quenches Fire-outbreak at Ilesa Water Project

A significant fire incident occurred at the treatment plant of the Ilesa Water Project in Kajola, which was promptly brought under control through the timely intervention of the Osun State Government and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The sudden incident sparked concern among residents and workers due to the importance of the facility in supplying water to the community. Upon noticing the fire, an urgent call was placed by the Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Sunday Oroniyi, to the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. Kayode Aderibigbe, who immediately mobilized emergency response teams.
Firefighters and other relevant agencies arrived swiftly and worked diligently to contain and extinguish the fire, preventing further damage to the infrastructure and ensuring uninterrupted water supply.
In response to the successful operation, Commissioner Oroniyi expressed deep appreciation to the state government and the Commissioner for Home Affairs for their timely action and commitment to safeguarding public assets.
He further noted that the quick response demonstrated effective leadership and strong coordination, assuring residents and workers of the government’s dedication to protecting critical infrastructure and promoting the welfare of the people across the state.
