The Osun State water sector held its annual Christmas Carol service for the year 2025 amidst thanks and praises to the Lord in about to be concluded 2025.
The event was shrouded with beautiful music, scripture reading and a renewed commitment to unity and service.
In his welcome address, the Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Sunday Oroniyi, said the gathering was “not just a carol, but a celebration of light,” quoting from John 1:1. He urged workers to remember Christ as the light of the world and to sustain the tradition of Christmas carols in the sector.
Hon. Oroniyi also appealed to civil servants to support Governor Ademola Adeleke’s second-term bid, describing his leadership as progressive, people-centred and deserving of continuity.
Delivering a message titled “Light of the World,” drawn from Isaiah 7:14–15 and Genesis 1:1–3, Pastor Ayinla Adebayo urged workers to let their light shine always and to value unity and purpose above monetary gains.
The event featured powerful renditions from the Water Sector, Osun Water Corporation, STOAWASSA and RUWESA Choirs alongside Bible readings by the General Managers; Engr. (Mrs) Dupeola Jokotola, Mrs Ibidun Odelola and Engr. Kayode Ajala.
