Osun Govt reiterates commitment to make life more abundant for artisans, market men and women -- Odeniyi


The Special Adviser to Osun State Governor on Public Enlightenment, Honourable Eniola Odeniyi, has reiterated the commitment  of the state government under the leadership of talk and do Governor, Senator  Ademola Adeleke, to make life more better for the people of the state, most.especially the market women and artisans.

Hon. Eniola Odeniyi, stated this at Sekona Market in Ede South Local Government Area, during the 'Market Rally' put in place by the Department of Grassroots and Public Enlightenment of the state Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment, to showcase the achievements of the state government. 
While addressing the market men and women, he said  "we  are here today to let you know what Governor Adeleke has done in the state to improve the lots of the people of the state across all sectors including education, health, Agriculture and infrastructure among others since he assumed office." 

Hon Eniola, who acknowledged the resilience and unflinching support of the people for the Government of Governor Adeleke, therefore used the occasion to sensitize them to get their Permanent Voters Card, stressing that it is the only political weapon with which they can vote for the Governor to continue his good works in the state.

He said "As a government, I want  to passionately appeal to you all to get your permanent voters card (PVC) as a political weapon and massively cast your votes for Governor Adeleke during the gubernatorial election slated for August 2026 to enable him consolidate on his developmental strides in the state.
He maintained that the Adeleke administration has redefined governance in Osun through people-oriented policies and massive infrastructural interventions that must not be truncated.

According to him, "re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke in 2026 is not just a political project but a collective responsibility to safeguard the future of Osun State and ascertain continuity of the ongoing reforms in road construction, healthcare delivery, agricultural support, and welfare for workers and pensioners.

He harped on the Governor’s unwavering commitment to prompt payment of salaries, gratuities, and pensions, as well as the provision of walking aids for the physically challenged citizens, describing Governor Adeleke as a compassionate leader who has restored poeple's hope through good governance.

Also speaking, the Iyaloja General of Osun State, Chief (Mrs) Mary Oyebode, rallied traders to close ranks behind Governor Adeleke, stressing that his administration has put an end to capital flight by engaging local contractors, thereby boosting sales and strengthening the state’s economy. She declared that Governor Adeleke remains the best option for Osun beyond 2026.

 Eniola, emphasized that the only way to guarantee continuity of the present reforms is for every eligible voter, particularly traders and artisans, to possess their PVCs
 
Also aligning with the Iyaloja general, the Iyaloja of Oja sanya, Ede, Mrs Omoboyede Olanike, pledged unwavering support of market men and women for the Adeleke administration. The duo noted that the Governor’s people-first approach has brought dignity to governance. They later appealed for the provision of boreholes in the markets as part of ongoing grassroots intervention.
Also responding on behalf of the Iyaloja Sekona, Mrs Wosilat Lawal, due to her old age, Mr Isiaka Lawal and Mrs  Sakirat Oguntunde enumerated numerous completed projects being executed by the present administration. They both enjoined Governor Adeleke to provide solar light, and grade the access road within the market, noting that it is one of the viable markets in Osun State.
