Ipetumodu set to celebrate 2025 Ipetumodu day with ₦500m palace appeal fund

The National Executive of the Ipetumodu Progressive Union, IPU, is inviting members of the general public to the 2025 Ipetumodu Day Celebration & N500 Millions Appeal Fund for the building of Apetumodu Ultramodern Palace.

According to the National President of the union, Builder Israel Akinjogbin (FNIOB) Ph.D in a press statement issued and made available to newsmen, the annual celebration will have the Arole Oduduwa the Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II as the Royal Father of the Day while the son of the soil who is currently the Deputy Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Akinyode Abidemi Oyewusi will play host to other political office holders.

The event according to Builder Akinjogbin will feature vibrant displays of traditional culture, including traditional and colourful dance, talking drums and speeches making, all designed to showcase the town's heritage, unity, and community spirit.

Builder Akinjogbin who described the Ipetumodu Day as an homecoming annual celebration said, it was designed to encourage community members who have traveled far and near to reconnect with their roots and contribute to the community's growth.

The IPU National President who called on sons and daughters of the ancient Ipetumodu town to troop out enmas to partake in the celebration which is expected to hold on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at 10 in the morning at the Origbo Community High School playground in Ipetumodu, said all is set to host the invited guests from all over the country.

The statement informed that, the  Chairman of the Governing Council, University of Ilesa, Hon Gbenga Onigbogi is the Chairman of the Day, Chief Launchers includes the Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, CEO, AKMODEL Group, Dr. Builder. Abdulhakeem Odegade, the youngest IPU branch, usen branch (Edo State), and Mr Temitayo Onarinde who is a Cocoa business tycoon.

Father of the Day as stated by Builder Akinjogbin is, Abdul-Hammid Musbaudeen, while the Yeyelua of Ede-land, Chief (Dr) Mrs. Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni will be Mother of the day.

"The Chairman Planning Committee is Hon Kunle Bello while Comrade Arayemi H. Arabukola is the Secretary" the statement concluded.
