Osun Information Ministry congratulates Oluomo Kolapo Alimi on National Award Recognition


The Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment, Osun State, has congratulated its Commissioner, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, for being honoured with the prestigious award of Best Commissioner in Nigeria by the National Leadership Award Committee at its 2025 investiture ceremony held at Merit House, Abuja, on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

In a statement issued on behalf of the Ministry, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Enlightenment, Hon. Eniola Odeniyi, described the award as a source of pride to the government and people of Osun State. He noted that Alimi’s outstanding performance, both within the political space and in his professional calling, stood him out for national recognition by a reputable body that has consistently rewarded excellence for over two decades.

The congratulatory message further emphasized that the award came at a symbolic period, barely a day after Osun marked its 34th anniversary of creation. According to the Ministry, this coincidence is a testament to the state’s rising profile and the impactful role being played by Alimi in strengthening government communication and public enlightenment.

“On behalf of the Management and Staff of the Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment, I rejoice with the government and good people of Osun State on this meritorious award conferred on our Commissioner, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, as the only honoree from the South West region,” Odeniyi stated.

The Ministry urged Alimi to sustain his exemplary commitment, courage, and vibrancy in managing government information, stressing that his rare dedication and resilience have made him a respected voice not only in Osun but across Nigeria.

“Once again, we congratulate our Commissioner on this well-deserved recognition and wish him greater heights in his service to the state and the nation,” the statement concluded.
