Osun first lady lauds Oluremi Tinubu's empowerment initiatives

The wife of Osun State Governor, Chief (Mrs) Titilola Adeleke, has applauded Nigeria's First lady, Senator Oluremi 'Tinubu for the distribution of Maxi industrial gas cookers, chest freezers and generators to 500 selected women across Osun State.
Distributing the items to the beneficiaries on behalf Senator Tinubu at the flag-off ceremony which held at the premises of Osun first lady's office, Mrs Adeleke, hailed the gesture as one of the potent ways of giving women the needed encouragement to achieve their goals .
Chief (Mrs.)Adeleke who doubles as the State Coordinator of the president's wife Renewed Hope Initiatives also thanked the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDG, headed by Chief (Mrs) Anni Felicia.
She noted that such kind gesture to women is important for any government that knows its onions due to the vantage position women hold in the family and the society at large.
She maintained that the women empowerment programme is in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope and SDGs goals 5 and 8, to guarantee inclusive economic growth and sustainable development to create a better life for women and girls in Nigeria.
While congratulating the beneficiaries, she equally called on them to make judicious use of the items.
Earlier In her welcome address, the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on SDG, Chief (Mrs) Anni Felicia, expressed delight about the Life changing programme. She equally thanked Osun state governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke and Osun first lady, Chief ( Mrs) Titi Adeleke for their selfless services to Nigerians.
The SSA to the President on SDG who reiterated that the Renewed Hope Initiative was designed to better the lots of the masses, advised the beneficiaries not to sell the items but use them for the purposes meant for.
In their separate goodwill messages, the Osun PDP women leader, Chief( Mrs) Alice Omowumi and Chairman Ayedaade LGA, Mrs. Felicia Adeniran, commended the first lady's kind gestures to the womenfolk and children in Osun, noting that the programme will go a long way in making the beneficiaries to be self reliant especially at this critical period of the country's economic challenges.
While appreciating the kind gesture as they all expressed happiness and satisfaction, the beneficiaries pledged to make good use of the items.
