Osun State Government is making notable strides in road construction across the state, one of which is the much awaited the first flyover at the Okefia axis of Osogbo, the Osun state capital.
This disclosure was made by the Director of Highways, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Maruf Ojebode.
Speaking on a weekly radio programme, Engr. Ojebode emphasised Governor Ademola Adeleke's commitment to delivering durable and sustainable road infrastructure that residents can rely on for many decades.
He explained that the current administration is pursuing a dual approach by constructing new roads while rehabilitating existing ones to ease transportation, stimulate commerce, and accelerate economic growth.
He also lauded the state government for putting strong emphasis on transparency, strict quality assurance, prudent use of resources, and timely project completion.
According to him, Contractors are always being directed to adhere strictly to specifications in order to guarantee excellence.
While appealing for patience from the public as work progresses, Engr. Ojebode revealed that, the much-awaited Okefia Flyover Bridge in Osogbo is nearing completion and will soon be ready for commissioning by the state Governor. He assured residents that the short-term inconveniences caused by the projects will be far outweighed by the long-term benefits of the state’s aggressive infrastructural drive.
