Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke is an enigma and a man of inestimable value who is very difficult to obstruct without dire repercussions.

Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi made this known while addressing Osun local government local government workers at the ongoing 2025 promotion exercise held at the multi purpose hall of Osun Local Government Service Commission, State Secretariat, Abere.

While warning those who are plotting his failure to beware of imminent punishment, Oluomo Alimi confessed:" Those of us who played pivotal roles in obstructing his emergence as the State Governor in 2018 suffered greatly for it, with some having close shave with death.

"Asiwaju Ademola Adeleke is a man imbued with the fear of God, coupled with pure heart and good conscience. He was too innocent for the dirty politics we played with him in 2018 governorship election", the Commissioner, who was then in APC explained.

The former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs reiterated his confession with a striking warning," It could be very lethal to lock horns with Senator Ademola Adeleke, those of us who obstructed him in 2018 were scourged, those of you doing it now will not be spared."

While encouraging the council workers that the current siege on the third tier of government would soon be over, the Commissioner prophesied that whosoever is happy with the withdrawal of local government allocation for almost six months now will eventually enter the black book of history, saying, "we would look for them, they will no longer be available"

While enunciating some of the traps set for the current government by the immediate past administration, the Commissioner pinpointed  the invalidated October 15, 2022 local government elections as one of the barbwires deliberately set for Governor Ademola Adeleke which, according to him, was targeted at planting their stooges in the council areas, even after the then State helmsman had lost his reelection bid.

He then assured the workers that in due course,President Bola Hammed Tinubu will soon get to the root of the matter for an amicable solution.

Also speaking at the occasion, Hon Jimoh Adetoro who expressed heartfelt prayers for the workers admonished them not to relent in their support for the prevailing government.

In his speech, Commissioner 2, Hon Adesina Alaran, who also admonished the workers to be steadfast in their support for the Governor stated that the State had been sick for 12 years, awaiting the arrival of the Messiah who has now been found in Governor Adeleke.

In his interaction with workers at the occasion, the State NULGE President, Comrade Kehinde Ogungbangbe reiterated that the Union's decision was in the best interest of all stakeholders, saying it is with the full backing of the national Secretariat of the Union.

Present at the occasion were: the management team of the LGSC, NULGE Executives, Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Pension, Alhaji Akibu Ibrahim and the HLA Forum Head, Dr. Adewale Adedapo.
