Adeleke Inspects Ilesha Roundabout/Brewery Road Project

The Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed the readiness of his administration to continue to put smiles on the faces of people through massive infrastructures to be put in place in different parts of the state.
Governor Adeleke made this known when paid an unscheduled inspection visit to the ongoing dualisation of Ereja Square through Brewery to Ilesa/Akure Expressway in the ancient city of Ilesa.
The Governor who expressed satisfaction with the progress of work done so far in the area, notied that the project was a significant step in boosting infrastructure development in the state. He commended the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure for ensuring steady progress on the site.
During the visit, hundreds of residents trooped out to welcome Governor Adeleke amidst singing and dancing as a way of showing their excitement and appreciation for the government’s commitment to road development in their community.
Addressing the site engineer, Governor Adeleke emphasized the need for high quality job on the need for the road to stand the test of time. He further directed that local materials be used where possible, to support indigenous contractors and artisans as means of ensuring cost-effectiveness.
The Governor also tasked the contractor to meet the three-weeks completion deadline earlier promised by the Director of Highway, stressing that his administration is determined to deliver people-oriented projects without delay.
Earlier, the Director of Highway, Engr. Moroof Ojebode, revealed that the project had reached 90 percent completion stage He assured the Governor and residents that the road would be ready for public use within the stipulated three weeks timeline given.
It will be recalled that the dualisation of the Ilesa Roundabout/Brewery Road was officially flagged off in 2024, as part of Governor Adeleke administrations ’wider efforts to put in place modern infrastructure to enhance the social and economic activities in Osun State.
