Eid-el-Kabir: Governor Adeleke urges Osun residents to embrace peace and unity

…Calls for sustained support for his administration

 Sunday Okunade
Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has called on residents of the state to uphold peace, unity, and mutual cooperation to foster development and progress across the state.

Speaking to journalists shortly after observing the two-rakat Eid-el-Kabir prayer at the Ede Eid ground in Oke-Yidi, Ede, Governor Adeleke emphasized that sustainable growth can only be achieved in an atmosphere of harmony and togetherness.
The Governor also appealed to the people to continue offering prayers and support for his administration. He expressed confidence that, through collective effort and unity of purpose, his government would deliver exemplary leadership that could serve as a benchmark for good governance both within Nigeria and beyond.

He further urged the Muslim faithful to emulate the obedience and devotion demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim, who willingly obeyed God’s command to sacrifice his son, as commemorated during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
"Eid-el-Kabir reminds us of the profound faith and obedience shown by Prophet Ibrahim and his son, Prophet Ismail. When Allah instructed him to sacrifice his son, he did not hesitate. That act of complete submission brought about immense blessings. The lesson is clear-faith and sacrifice lead to lasting rewards," Governor Adeleke said.

Delivering the Eid sermon, the Chief Imam of Ede land, Sheikh Moshood Hussein-Akajewole, echoed the call for unity. He urged the people of Ede and Osun State at large to continue supporting Governor Adeleke’s administration in its efforts to ensure stability and ongoing development.
