Governor Adeleke Preaches Unity, Cooperation at Owa of Ijesaland Coronation Anniversary

The city of Ilesa was vibrant with celebration as indigenes and dignitaries from across the country gathered to witness the grand coronation of the new Owa Obokun of Ijesaland. The atmosphere was filled with joy, traditional music, and dancing as the ancient town welcomed its new monarch.
Speaking at the historic event, Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, called for renewed unity and cooperation among the people of Ijesaland.
He emphasized the need for collective support to drive rapid development in Ilesa and its surrounding communities, just as he urged citizens to rally behind the new king and work together to realize a shared vision for progress.
Governor Adeleke congratulated Oba Clements Adesuyi on his ascension to the throne and commended the kingmakers for making a wise and forward-looking choice.
He described the new monarch’s reign as the beginning of a new chapter grounded in tradition and guided by visionary leadership.
Highlighting the role of traditional rulers in community development, the Governor expressed confidence in Oba Adesuyi’s ability to uphold cultural values while fostering growth.

The ceremony also featured the formal presentation of the staff and instrument of office to the new monarch.
