Osun firstlady, Mrs Titi Adeleke flags off distribution of palliatives, medical aid for aged people

In her quest to ensure aged people in Osun live a better and healthy life, the Osun State Firstlady, Chief Mrs. Titilola Adeleke, has flagged off the distribution of food palliatives and medical aid for elderly people.

The event which was organized by the Office of the First Lady in collaboration with ANGY CARE Health Foundation and Osun State Ministry of Health, was launched at the State General Hospital, Cottage Area, Ede.

In her remarks, Chief (Mrs). Titilola Adeleke, reaffirmed her commitment to the well-being of senior citizens who have devoted their lives to building the community and society at large.

She emphasized that her office remains dedicated to initiatives that uplift and support vulnerable citizens, particularly the elderly, ensuring they live with dignity, comfort, and good health.

She appreciated ANGY CARE Health Foundation, and the State Ministry of Health for their contributions to making the initiative a success.

Mrs Adeleke therefore enjoined well meaning Nigerians to also give back to the society out of the abondant wealth God has bestowed upon them.

She pledged not to relent in catering for the wellbeing of aged across the State and to support the good work of Governor Adelemola Adeleke in providing health care for all and sundry in Osun.

In his goodwill message, the Commissioner for Health, Barr. Jola Akintola, commended the Office of the First Lady and the CEO of ANGY CARE Health Foundation for spearheading this impactful initiative. He also applauded the beneficiaries for maintaining order and assured them that everyone would be attended to. He further announced that the programme would take place in three towns—Ede, Osogbo, and Ilesa—from April 4 to April 6, 2025.

In her keynote address, the CEO of ANGY CARE Health Foundation, Mrs. Motilayo Omoniyi, expressed gratitude to Governor Adeleke and Chief Mrs. Titilola Adeleke for providing an enabling environment to carry out the programme. 

She listed some of the free medical aid and food items being distributed, including eyeglasses, walking sticks, commodes, hearing aids, blood pressure machines, glucosamine, rice, and gari, among others.
