NELFUND: South/West Governors encourages students to grab the opportunity

The forum of South/west Governors has urged eligible students in the region across all higher institutions, vocational and skill acquisition centres to take full advantage of Nigeria Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, and key into the programme so as to assist them in their academic pursuits.

The Governors gave the advice today in a communique issued after the meeting of the forum held at the office of the Governor, Alausa, Lagos State.

At the meeting which has in attendance, Lagos State Governor who also doubles as the Chairman of the forum, Babajide Sanwo-olu, Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and their counterpart from Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, they noted that NELFUND has in one way or the other benefited many students across the Country.

They applauded federal government of Nigeria under the leadership of President Bola Hamed Tinubu for the successful implementation of the students loan scheme.

..... gives IBEDC four days ultimatum to resolve electricity challenges facing the community The Great Ipetumodu Youth Movement (GIYM) on Thursday staged a peaceful protest against the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) over the persistent epileptic power supply in Ipetumodu and its environs. The protest, which took place at the IBEDC office in Ipetumodu and the Control Room in Moro, was led by the President of GIYM, Comrade Babalola Taiwo, popularly known as Bablo.  During the demonstration, Com.
