AGPE commends Hon. Ajani for his philanthropic gesture

Members of the Association of Gbongan Progressive Elements (AGPE) on behalf of the Olufi of Gbongan land, Oba Dr. Adetoyese Oyeniyi JP, sons and daughters home and in diaspora as well as entire Gbongan community have commended Hon (Alhaji) Rauf Ajani for his philanthropic gesture.

In a letter of commendation by the association titled "Recognition and Appreciation of Charitable Generosity" issued and made available to newsmen on Monday by the Chairman, Chief Saka Kola Owopade and the General Secretary, Mr Olalekan Olaniran, appreciated the illustrious son of the ancient Gbongan land, Hon Ajani 's charitable and his generous disposition for the Empowerment Initiative Training on fire and general safety recently organized for the secondary school students, teachers and residents of the community.

According to the letter to Hon Ajani, "The board of Governors and old students association of your former school, Gbongan Community High School lauded your decision of organizing the fire training which is a round peg in a round hole at this period of hammatan as well as recognizing your incidental choice of location and organization.

"We are highly elated to inform you that the training was very timely, didactic, educative and informative with germane practicals".
 
The association also appreciated Hon Ajani's donation of the various sizes of quality fire extinguishers to the palace of the Olufi of Gbongan land, Schools, Corporate bodies and individuals plus donation of reflective jackets and decoration of badges of Safety Ambassador.
The AGPE which is the umbrella body of all Gbongan sons and daughters at home and abroad further described Hon Ajani as a source of joy to Gbongan land and its environ, and they are blissfully proud of him as well.

In his own reaction, Hon Raufu Ajani appreciated all the people that have come from far and near to attend the fire training.

According to Hon Ajani, "I want to appreciate our traditional rulers, the Olufi of Gbongan land, Oba Dr. Adetoyese Oyeniyi JP,  the Eburu of Iba, Oba Adekunle Okunoye, the Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke, Mr Olusola Ajala, the PDP Chairman from Ayedaade, Hon Sanmi Adeyefa, Hon Kamoru Adekunle, PDP Leader in Ayedaade, Hon Felicia Adenitan for Caretaker Chairman, Ayedaade Local Government and Chairmanship Candidate for the coming council election with all the councillors, supervisors and special Advisers, among other political office holders in attendance.

..... gives IBEDC four days ultimatum to resolve electricity challenges facing the community The Great Ipetumodu Youth Movement (GIYM) on Thursday staged a peaceful protest against the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) over the persistent epileptic power supply in Ipetumodu and its environs.
