Chief Abiola Morakinyo's Death: A colossal loss to Nigeria --Alhaji Ajani
A Peoples' Democratic Party, PDP, Leader in Osun State, Alhaji Rauf Ajani, has mourned the death of Chief Abiola Morakinyo, describing his demise as a collosal loss not only to the Gbongan community but to Osun State and Nigeria at large.
Ajani, who was the Executive Chairman, Ayedaade Local Government area of Osun State made this known in his condolence message to the Morakinyo family and made available to newsmen on Friday.
The politician said that the late Chief Morakinyo was an astute politician and a respected community leader who served humanity with everything he had.
Ajani who said the deceased would be greatly missed, described him as a leader of leaders who fought for the betterment of whoever that comes his way.
According to Ajani, "Chief Morakinyo's contributions to Osun State and Nigeria, can not be over emphasised as his imprints as a former Commissioner of Finance under the Governor of Oyo State, Chief Bola Ige's administration as well as his political and other strides, can not be forgotten".
The former Ayedaade local government boss who prayed to God to give the entire Morakinyo family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, further prayed for the repose of the deceased, adding that his wise counsels to his people and the state, would be greatly missed.
"We shall all continue to remember you baba Morakinyo while all your good jobs while on earth will remain on the marble. Rest on baba" the message concluded.
